I also thought about charting crude real time, but the bottom line is that all you have to do is watch the real time quotes on any energy stock to know what is going on with crude. That whole scenario seems ludicrous to me, considering that the future earnings on any of these stocks do not...

I agree. I tried it a number of times in my sep account. Since I trade mainly energy stocks (although that probably is irrelevant), I finally figured out that, by writing calls, I either missed out on a big move, like buying BTU in Feb at $85ish and then sold the 6/90's for what I thought was...

Throw the goals out the window and just work every day like it was your last. Don't count it up until the dealings done. Sometimes you just sell it for a "feel good hit" and think about it tomorrow. And don't ever go to bed with a loser that was suppose to be a winner. good night...

For better or worse, I took about a third of my energy positions off the table yesterday. I think some of the seasonal aspects are already priced in, but that's just my wag. Still holding vlo, btu, aci, adm, bjs, and a few others, but don't know for how long. Good luck

Interesting that crude is down 27% from the 6 month high, yet a number of producers and drillers are now pushing their 6 month highs from the early October bottom. Also interesting to me is that the early october double bottom in $BPENER at 19.23 was the perfect buy point (in hindsight) of...

interesting system you have, alpha, but, just out of curiosity, what do you do when you go off for two weeks to the woods...just sell 10 and buy 10 when you get back?

why can't you buy a short fund, like USPIX?
