My Laser is solid. No problems. I don't post often. However, I do notice there are people who is bad mouthing competition. Lets keep the forum clean.

ARCA's multi-cast is UDP and not TCP.

ARCA is having major issues with sending out the quotes in TCP. Whoever gets the ARCA data in TCP is having major problems. This is ARCA's problem. The ARCA multi-cast is much better. I see that ARCA will stop supporting the ARCA TCP quotes this year.

I have no problem with the data. Farat is probably experiencing the ARCA problems that plaque everyone: Laser, Anvil, etc... The posting date for Farat is in Nov. I think Genesis had solved the data issue.

I use blackbox and Laser to trade at Genesis. Depends on which route I use, I get 4-8 ms order ack. If I colocat at the Nasdaq, I may shave another 1 ms for NDAQ. But I may also increase latency to other exchanges. The order ack time is a function of how and where you measure your start...

I'm trading Laser on a dedicated line. I've no problem with quotes. The Laser executions are also good as usual. Because of large increase in quotes, I upgraded my computer with faster CPU and more memory - 2G. I also turn off the unncessary level II windows so my computer won't be caught...

I heard that Genesis expanded their easy to borrow list with many big wall street firms. I think their easy-to-borrow list is very good.
