    Dividends with ADR stocks

Hi All, For foreign stocks traded on the NYSE or NASDAQ which pay dividends, how much does the stock holder receive? Is it the amount listed on Google/Yahoo Finance, or is it less due to foreign taxes or fees or whatnot? Thanks! :)

    Newbie Stock Picking Help...

Hi All, I was hoping to get some advice with stock picking for my IRA account. I am considering investing in CAT and DE and didn't know which one was "better." I know CAT is the world's largest construction machinery maker and DE is the world's largest farming equipment maker, but they both...

Thanks everyone, I now have a plethora of advice! My cousin used to tell me the old adage of "Winners never quit, Quitters never win!" I'm not ready to quit and damn it, with hard work I can succeed in investing. It takes time and work, but it's possible! :)

Thanks, I will try that too! That really seems like a neat system and has its opportunities too. I hadn't heard of that before, but I am interested in it. I agree too that paper trading and backtesting are good tools too!

Thanks! Do you do covered calls on the weeklies, or just calls? Also, do you do weeklies on the big dollar stocks, like MA, PCLN, AAPL, ISRG, etc?
