    Basic Trading Psychology.

From your thread, I can tell you've been reading and basically quoting Mark Douglas. Another trading psychologist who is also an expert on intuition, Andrew Menaker, would agree with much of it, except for a few parts - e.g. "not associating one moment to the next" as always being...

Economist Wins Genius Grant For Proving That Most Traders Are Idiots

must be able to trust it = confidence that you recognize it as your edge. this is where most traders fail. it takes more than 'an edge' to succeed. this is why trading is mostly psychology. having an edge is the relatively easy part (although most traders don't have that)...

What is TRADING the markets to you?

What is TRADING the markets to you? < Best question there is for a trader. Several years ago I was asked a similar version of that question by a mentor/coach. At first, I thought, oh geeeez, what a waste of time. But over the years, the answer to that question has evolved as I continue to...

confirmation before placing a trade (not pulling the trigger)

NoDoji is one of my favorite posters here, so ND, don't take this personally. (ND, this is xxxskier) I wish I could say that in my own trading I have found that solid back-testing and a solid plan gives me a 'carefree state of mind" as Mark Douglas and some others write about. Maybe for ND it...

Any Trading Related Q&A Sites Like Quora and Esp. Stack Exchange?

If you want a forum with other pro traders you're going to need a Bloomberg terminal. That forum is full of traders on desks, ET is mostly independent traders, hence retail. Yeah, there are a few big boys that post on ET, and few good nuggets here and there from some good indies, but its mostly...

    Please Help.. Please

I personally recommend Andrew Menaker as a trading shrink, if you go that route. I read a lot of stuff on trading psychology but it didn't stick until I worked with him.
