Ya know I think it's quite funny the amount of "space" you people clog up complaining about AYK's use of space.. and there's not a forum on this board thats clogged up with much of anything. about 5-10 posts a day in most of them if that? Gee how will you EVER keep up?!

Anyone know what IB's options exercise fee is? I cant seem to find it anywhere.

Anyone figure goog will tank some now that this bit of hope is gone for awhile?

I doubt they will pause.. And with the market action today I'd say most traders are of the same view. Do any of you expect much action tomorrow if they dont pause? Or do you feel its already entirely priced in by now?

I just got a screwed up execution today with scottrade. I sure cant wait till my check clears at IB. I put in a market order for a few contracts The spread was something like 3.70 3.90 moving around rapidly. I waited and waited and no confirmation popped up. I checked my account in another...

Truth: I've actually done pretty well in equities.. but options are a whole new ballgame. It's hard to get used to the degree of volitility in their pricing. Such a huge amplification of the movement of the underlying. Anyhow you're right, I'm going to lay off the options for a bit, but...

I've HARDLY got dreams of a 200% return.. I realize I'm going to incur losses for awhile. I'm prepared for it... and I'm here to learn how to (hopefully) reduce the size / frequency of those losses to the point that I'm eventually profitable. I'd be quite happy to just break even this year...

I try to get up early enough to do some research before the open.. but it's tough. I'm on the west coast and the 6:30 open comes mighty early... I try to catch 5 or 10 mins of news before the bell.. then I've got to be out of here by 8:40 to the real job.. then I'm back here at 6:30 to catch...

Thanks for the input fellas. I'm trying to learn... learning a lot of lessons the hard way. I'm trying to keep my optomism through some severe punishment the last couple of days.. today being no better. It's tough. How long did it take you guys to turn consistently profitable?

I'm not sure why I'm even writing this message, maybe for ideas for improvement in my strategy.. maybe just for pure moral support.. or something, but for whatever reason I feel compelled to write! I've been doing pretty well trading puts on the fading homebuilder stocks the last few weeks...
