The main reason the PIIGS join the EU was for economic reason, i.e. the EU money. The EU should now bend over and pay up for these members - including backing up loans from the IMF. No wonder some countries looked at it twice and became partial member.

This H-1B visa is so outdated, that I am stunned people are not lobbying to have it changed to a point based system, where the immigrant has to prove how exceptional his skill sets by listing previous salaries.

It is clear Indians and Chinese are abusing the system. Thus creating an outcry. You have to be pragmatic : as these companies are GLOBAL companies what can you do to adress the problem?
