I meant IRA margin account

so my question if I have more than $25k in my IB margin account and I try to daytrade does PDT rules apply ?

I am reading and it says " Us resident may open CASH or MARGIN IRA IRA maegin accounts may never borrow but are afforded all the other benefits of a margin account such as the ability to DAY TRADE"

IB has one

I have an IRA margin account with IB with much over 25k can I daytrade ? is the PDT rule applies ?

Thanks to your relply My CPa tells me I can close a simple IRa a nd open a trditional IRa as long as I opened Simple IRA for at least 2 years I comunicated with IB and this time they agreed so I am going to open an IRA account by transferring out of a simple IRA aacct,

Perhalps someone can help me I have a sizeable Simple IRA account I wanted to move it to IB But IB does not support a SImple IRA accounts. any idea of how to move it anyway ? I know I can convert to Roth but I do not want to pay taxes Thanks

I am moving my accounts to IB from Schwab On my IRA appliction I marked margin account Is it really possible ? Right now I need to wait 3 days for settelment with IB can I avoid 3 days ? and can I Day trade ?

Thanks for the info everything clearer now I will open an Ib account soon Any other tip or suggstion or surprise anyone can tell as I move and start trading IB? Obviuosly IB is much diffrent than I have ever seen in my many years of trading Thanks

still pretty cofusing one more item I do not understand regarding market data it says All coustomers recieve 100 concourent lines of real time market data. What is that? Coming out of Cyber trader it all looks very strange but i know I need to make a move. thanks
