why deleted my thread,b/c is it too important?

Take a look at the customer applications for FXCM and InterbankFX - two obvious FDMBs. FXCM's says: "THE PRICES FXCM OFFERS MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST PRICES AVAILABLE AND FXCM MAY OFFER DIFFERENT PRICES TO DIFFERENT CLIENTS." InterbankFX said basically the same thing, but now they have made it...

why deleted my thread,b/c is it too important?

the real question everyone should be asking their broker/potential new broker is "do you at times offer different prices to different clients" The NFA now requires that if they do this be disclosed in their customer account applications. Ask yourself, why would a FDM give clients different...

    Proposed NFA Capital Requirement

I spoke with the CFTC about this very issue in the past. Believe it or not, FXDD's response is correct FXSavior. Technically speaking, the spot forex market is an unregulated market, and membership with the NFA is voluntary. Now the idea was that if 24 out of 25 forex dealers in the US become...

    2002 vs. 2007

Testing a forex strategy on Tradestation, does it make sense to pay more attention to the results you get for the past 2 years as opposed to the 2 or 3 years before that due to the recent increase in volume and volatility in the fx markets?

    TS Backtesting

Right zg, I have that part covered. I guess my question is how fast can you accelerate the historical data through your system? It seems from the second part of you answer that it can be done instantaneously...which is great...but is that true?

    TS Backtesting

How long does it take to backtest a forex strategy with Tradestation. i.e. can I blast a years worth of data through my system to see how it would have performed over the course of that year in a matter of minutes, or is it more complicated than that? Alright.

Series 3: Possible for sbd no financial degree?

bhf, Find yourself a series 3 review book, (the STC-Securities Trading Corporation book should be fine), and study it for a while. Three months is more than enough time to study and pass the exam. You probably only need a week or two even without a financial background as long as you know...

How can I automate a trading system?

Thanks JJ, The EL specialist site looks like a great resource. Do you have any personal recommendations or experiences with anyone in particular in that list. Plus, it has already been discussed in this thread briefly, but is a NDA enough to keep my algorithms safe, im sure it depends on...
