Tickblaze - An Advanced Platform for Quants and Active Traders

As I understand it, Tickblaze is being acquired/merged (?) by/with a comppany called Neurostreet/NSTrading Academy run by someone called Sean Kozak. This company and Kozak have a whole colorful history covered on nexusfi (formerly futures.io). Make up your own minds.

What market scanners to choose (value/cost).

Started a monthly sub with TickerTrace yesterday to see what the scanner was like. At the moment my feedback is: Would NOT recommend Tickertrace. The scanner user interface is clunky and not at all easy to configure. Their support is non-existent. They don't respond to any "Talk to Us" messages...

    In search of programmer

With respect, there's a well known saying "If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys". There is a HUGE difference between writing a python script and an optimized low latency HFT algorithm which perhaps may involve assembly programming/multithreading etc...

    Historical free stock screener

Thanks. I was just looking on the by and by for a free way. I already had thought of using Norgate to download and scan their data. I had a feed with them a couple of years ago for delisted stocks but my offline data is out of date. Sounds like updating using their feed would be the way to go...

    Historical free stock screener

Thanks for replying. I have access to historical data from iqfeed (not offline) and ninjatrader but how do you search one year ago for all the stocks at the time that fit the criteria I mentioned? Ninjatrader only lets you look at the current stats and even then the scanner doesnt scan the whole...

    Historical free stock screener

Hi, Does anyone know of a free stock screener that lets you look at gapper stocks in the PAST using three simple criteria - average volume, close from previous day, ATR? Free Finviz is good but only for curent stocks. Not sure if the $$ version lets you screen historical data.. Thanks, Splat

Is there anyone still using ActiveTick as a feed?

When they don't even bother emailing back prospective customers, I would imagine after support to be atrocious. That's why I won't even come near them anymore. Good luck.

I got the following script from futures.io which may help: rem Developed by Christian Ejstrup and Bob Cometta. We hope that this will help all with NT 8 memory issues. rem Drop into your MyDocuments\NinjaTrader 8 folder and change from a .txt to a .bat file. rd /s /q "cache" md "cache" rd...

Is there anyone still using ActiveTick as a feed?

Hi - thanks for your reply. I am wanting to use Activetick as a data feed into my real-time scanner. Trade-ideas has some limitations so I want to be able to design my own scans. Obviously I need to use a higher tiered developer data feed. I was therefore wanting some feedback. From what you say...

Has anyone heard of TEFS (used by Tradenet)?

A friend of mine was interested in starting an account with a prop firm called Tradenet which supposedly use a firm called TEFS. Does anyone know of or have any experience with Tradenet and especially TEFS?
