thanks all...it wasnt consistant with my plan, but I liked the setup due to the gap...It was a 50/50 play and I feel I gambled...I'll work on sticking to the appropriate text book setups

cant do a 1 minute that far back with what i have, but on a 3 min chart it went straight down in one bar, then straight back up on the next. no "incremental or staggering" pattern of selloff.

good summary jscott...that is exactly what I have been doing, today I had a 3.3x reward to risk, due to using the existing level thanks for your input...i figure a few more weeks of small ball and then i may step it up a bit.

gotcha...ive been trying to target previous support/resistance off the higher lows or lower highs

how did you come up with the target on this one? I am taking a look and dont see any prior support or resistance there...can you give me some insight? I have been using your methods and having some success, although with small dollars...target areas are a bit of a struggle though

geez, thanks for the feedback...how do you go about picking a strong stock vs a weak stock? do you just measure its performance against the s&P? If so how long of a time frame do you use? Or do you look for a trend fo some sort?
