Hey Guys. First time back here in quite awhile. I'm a Prop. trader with RBC and have been hearing a great deal about this proposed bill. What have you guys/gals heard concerning this BS bill? Personally, I couldn't imagine this passing; however, on the other hand, the Dem's are looking for...

    CNBC vs. Bloomberg

Any information you get on TV is biased... However; I would much rather get my business info from Bloom... I would LOVE to see "Playboy" do an issue on the "Girls of CNBC." Perhaps Maria could fing her "true" calling. That network has become a GD joke.

    Black Monday

I can see the future. I will be forced to scalp some "over sold" equities and spend the rest of the day listening to the Ivey leagued talking headed "horses asses" telling the masses how great a buy the mkt. is. I am a technical trader, therefore, i see doom on the horizon.

Prop Trading Firms - Note On Threatening Regulatory Developments

Concerning the risk of regulatory changes; if you will. I'm glad that RBC bought us. "Oh, Canada.....yada, yada, yada...."

    Real Time MKT information

Does anyone know of software available to alert you if XYZ stock is "currently" touching lower Bollenger Band (or higher band); or "currently" trading below 25 RSI (as an example). I'm looking for a solid "alert" system not exclusive to price alerts. Thanks. GVG

    Crash of 2005

Regarding your comment concerning GM and F; I can't believe the market is ignoring this information (in general). As another example, take a look at EXPD. Hard to believe there is no profit taking on that stock. It's hard not to notice these market events.

    Crash of 2005

Apex, I trade NYSE and NASDAQ equities: average size 2500 shares. More liquid stocks (INTC, CSCO etc I will trade 10K). I trade OEX contracts in size from 10 to 20. I also sell QQQQ and SPY options short on both sides. I trade spreads also. Back to your last post. My hold time for...

    Crash of 2005

Riskmanager, Thank you for your post. The last two days I have reflected, (and analyzed) my past few weeks, and have concluded that I have become extremely opinionated about the market. As an example, when the market appeared to be turning last spring, my numbers were as follows...

    Crash of 2005

Areyoukidding, This will be my only response to your posts. First, I posted this last night @ midnight. I'm not discussing todays market. Secondly, your posts remind me of my 5 year old son when he interrupts an adult conversation. Now please run along and play somewhere else.

    Crash of 2005

Apex, I guess the word "crash" may be a little strong for this post. My gut feeling is this: there are more "fast money" hedge funds trading now than at any time in history. If we do start down from this point on; there would probably be a rush to the exit. Why? First off, there would...

    Crash of 2005

Ok. ...ok already. This thread is simply to get the conversation started. I have never seen such a confusing market in my career. I have been a professional trader with Carlin (Generic) since 1999. I have made a great sum of money using technical analysis over the years; however, lately; it...
