How can you "prove" that they do that? Isn't it illegal to front run in front of your customers orders? Please pardon my ignorance of the facts) It just seems like a wildly crazy thing for any reputable firm to do. Wouldn't every customer get up and quit if the truth came up?

Average execution time on IB's IDEAL PRO

Just a reminder that when you are looking a milliseconds, your network speed, quality of network and physical location are are going to play. I'm on the west coast of Canada and even though our signals are travelling at the speed of light, the servers for IB might be closer to you than me.

How Much Are Your Costs Per Share

If you open your own prop firm (every tom, dick and harry seems to have one available to open these days!) you can keep up to 95% of your payout and pay close to costs.

He must be the owner of a prop firm which makes his answer logical. :-)

Please review I welcome all advise

I've been around for over 10 years in this business and have been at multiple firms and talked to the owners. It seems to me that the success or failure of your business largely depends on luck and good fortune. I never understood why some idiot managers make so much money while some really...

    Starting a new prop firm

Opening your own prop firm is not that hard. Contact any of the big USA firms and they can set you up. Also, for those of you who are at Swift or Title or WTS, you can contact the firms directly to get an 80% payout. Opening your own brand new company takes millions of dollars in deposit...

    Sterling API Developer Thread

I think that you'll see that within the next 5 years most everyone will offer FIX to their clients (like us) who are programming. In my opinion, it's inevitable as the industry is moving in that direction. As soon as a few start to do it they will have a competitive advantage and the others...

    Bright trading and any thoughts

I used to trade with Bright years ago and I can assure you that they help out all they can. However, keep in mind that profitable traders have to make it on their own. There is no secret formula and certainly nothing you buy online will help you make the profits that you are seeking. I can...

    Anyone heard about Title Trading

Sorry, I am not trying to put down any one particular firm. Like I stated in my last post months ago... Title Trading is a Canadian firm incorporated in Quebec province, Canada. They are NOT a licensed Broker Dealer. They are operating under the radar like most firms in Canada. As Mr. Don...

your thoughts on samsung 22" monitor?

I, too, have been involved in many a debate over beers with traders about hardware / monitor speed. I can't agree more with this post. Monitor ms speed has NO IMPACT on trading. The human eye can't discern the speeds that traders seem to think will make a real difference! YOU ARE BETTER...

    ECN fees and such...

My 2cents worth: it really depends on your trading style. For example, if you are only trading 2,000 shares per day the ECN fee won't really affect you one way or another. However, if you are trading 100,000 shares a day the fees can either help or kill your profits depending on rebate/take...

    Anyone heard about Title Trading

Just be aware that only Bright, Swift and Infinium have legit licenses to do business. Title does NOT have a license to operate a trading business in Ontario or in Canada. Check with the OSC, BCSC or QSC. Title isn't even registered. That being said, there are over a dozen firms in Canada...
