End result of the whole fiasco was they didn't iron out the issue for a week, at which point I was up $2500 in a phantom open position I couldn't see. So I came out ahead in the end. Still left with a bad taste on my mouth that this could go on for a week.

At that price it's priced comparable to Multicharts (if you buy on sale or pay monthly). Seems crazy to pay that for an unproven product versus one that's been around a long time.

I would guess there was also a real-time data package included in his setup, hence the $80 extra per month.

I was forced to switch from IB due to a new employer and preclearance restrictions (I can't use IB easily because they allow stock trading -- I can only use futures only brokers). I ended up at Gain futures (daniels introducing broker) trading an IRA through a self-directed custodian...

Another option is buying Multicharts and running the same easylanguage systems with IB integration. Note Multicharts does not work exactly the same as Tradestation so you will need to do some testing.

Wisdom Trading is who I've used for Canola. They are an IB for RJ O'Brien. They offer quite a few different futures you can't get through most other brokers. Generally you will get screwed on fees going directly to a broker like RJO. Go to an IB instead and negotiate a good rat.e

Just to add to your info I've had to move some of my trading to TD Ameritrade and I found TOS has an option that allows you to click a checkbox and "paste" orders into their platform (it reads from the clipboard but must be in the correct format). Much easier than manual entry which TOS makes...
