This post here is talking about consolidation area, a 10 point range, etc. I felt like most of today was in a range (I trade NQ though). So I thought that your observation above was pretty good. At least, until 11:40 which is still most of the day.

Ah, I posted the question to the NT guys and got a response (great service always over there). orders that occur between the bid + ask do not get plotted on the buysellvolume histogram. That is what is happening there.

Actually, VOL is okay, but BuySellVolume (real time) is not okay. I guess it depends on which you are using.

Are you 100% sure about NT being okay? Put a volume histogram at the bottom of a constant volume chart. You dont see any small peaks? I do.

Can you explain this a bit more? I would think that if patient sellers dry up, there are fewer sellers, so price should go higher. How is it that fewer sellers (patient sellers dry up) brings price down?
