i played windows minesweeper when i got bored at market hours.
and last monday i forgot to close my position before morning session ends, and turned a 1000+ winner into a 3400 loser.
sometimes i went back to sleep if i got bored.
missing a signal is better than losing money, lol.
in my paper trading account, i frequently close my winners even i don't see any weak signs. today i took HKD 5500 from a trade that i could have locked 12500 by my Exit Procedures even if at that moment i was up 14000.
but in my real account, i never took profits if i don't see weak signs...
i read this somewhere.
in your consciousness, that's a losing trade. so when u think there's a `good` chance to get out, u just get out. -- this is also why unplanned adding to loser is not a good idea
I tend to take trades that are not conformed to my rules after i missed an opportunity -- keyboard mistakes or too fear to take the signal.
not taking a signal is ok assuming i can't distinguish between good from bad trades among signals.
taking trades that are not conformed to the rules...
Thanks for the help, kiwi.
There are log files in Jts directory but order/trading information are not recorded. Where can I find audit reports?
I have the stop trigger time & price, fill time & price.
I attempted to save the LOG in IB's BookTrader but IB has disabled the COPY...
In my case, the price 1 second after the STOP was triggerred was -3 (*71) than the trigger price (*74).
Btw, if the price moves 50 points, an MKT order needs a second submission, IB's MKT orders are definitely not reliable.
def,
Thx. I didn't ask the names of the staffs who answered any calls.
In the first call, a female officer told me that the order *might be* submitted several times.
But in the 2nd call, a male officer said the order was submitted *only once* and the delay was totally due to HKFE (it's...

gangof4, thx for the reply
8 seconds! i had similar problems too. Yesterday 14 seconds to move a stop order.
i'm thinking of checking bid/ask flow data provided by the hkex.
since i use STOP exclusively for exit regardless of trade profitability, such delay is horrible for me.
if...
Last time I noticed this situation, the delay was also 3 seconds and my SELL STOP got 9 points slippage.
HSI has been very volatile these days and usually B/A is thin. But that time there are 30+ contracts and I saw the price moving down incrementally in the 3 seconds.
Anyone noticed similar problems on HKFE with IB? This is not the first time.
Trail is something like:
14:49:42 Deactivate SELL STOP aux. 29774
14:49:42 Acknowledged by exchange to SELL 1 contract HSI
14:49:45 SELL 1 contract HSI at 29763

The first time I...
