None of the above is! they all do not offer portfolio backtesting except Wealthlab. TS only offers it with RINA (5000$) and it sucks. TS has failed to deliver it for many years one reason why I left it.
I agree on this one. I used CQG years ago at the bank and it was very good. They did not have any backtesting then. I do not need real time now and I would safe money for this service. Take a look at QCharts too.
Take a look at WLD. If you only need EOD then the website is good enough. I saw on the feature list that real time scanning is in the planning for the new version.
If you look for system testing on end of day systems I would use www.wealth-lab.com. It is free and has more features then most of the expensive software out there. Charting on the website is rather limited.
I am planning on buy a new tft monitor. What do you recommend, 2 small once or one big one. I love the new 23'' from Apple. Is there any way I can connect it to a PC? Any opinion/experiense welcomed.
I'm not sure about converting from TS2000i to WealthScript but I had little problems converting my TS4 systems to WLD2. I have not looked much at esignal scripting language, but since no other software offers portfolio testing I decided to use WL and it is very good.
TS2000i you can choose your data vendor, no monthly fee but pretty expensive. I never used 2000i or TS6. Last Omega software I used was TS4 so there might be people who know better.
I just saw the bad review from S. Larson about wld. With all respect to his personal experience but he knows nothing about trading software. I have been using various products and WL is by far the best. It's so easy to create a system if you know just a little about programming. I am convinced...
If you have a way to predict the crossing of 2 moving averages, I will be a Bill Gates in a year (and I would not sell the method). If you have ever programmed a system that happened to look into the future you know what I mean.
There is a tool that connects RealTick with WLD2. I have not tried it and I am not sure how many people are using it. You may want to take a look at it. http://www.realtimesalsa.com/
