    woman traders

I read something similar too, but I can't remember where. There were some studies that showed women are actually better suited to trading than men.

Forex Brokers Q1 2012 Profitability Report

Just want to make sure I've got this right. Does it mean 60 to 70 percent of the accounts are losing money?

    EUR/CHF price floor

This is probably different as all you need to do to fight against capital inflow is simply debasing your currency, i.e. pressing control+p repeatedly. So they can hold the price floor as long as they have the will power to do so, but I imagine they are facing huge political and public pressure.

    FX cash vs fwds

You should have checked out the carrying cost before you put on the position. All retail shops earn money by giving you inferior interests, and IB is no exception. If you intend to hold your position long term, what didn't you go with futures in the first place. Futures always give you the...

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

Spread has become pretty tight for M6E (and also M6A) during regular sessions as more and more people are trading it. FX futures in general are a bit more expensive to trade than spots. It is especially true for these micro contracts. As someone pointed out, you are looking at 2 pips...

    IB Very bad Market Data

I still don't quite follow how he was charged interest for a positive balance. I've never encountered something like that with IB.

    Understanding IB Spread Charts

They are what it says on the chart. The higher and lower end are the max ask and min bid, respectively. The middle thick bit is where the mid point had been. I usually just look at the middle bit as this is most likely what the fair value for the spread is.

    For the Wallstreet haters.

Comment like this is just infantile and not constructive to the discussion. If you take the most simplistic view and focus on an option trade on its own, I agree it's a zero-sum game (ignoring other fritional costs). But participants trade for different reasons, and that's why I think you...

    KOSPI Future

Just want to point out KRX is quintupling the multiplier for their KOSPI options. May and June contracts are now the only ones that still use the old, smaller multiplier. So I can imgaine they have just lost most of their appeal comapred to futures.

    IB reduced ES margins

I have also done reveral orders in the past, but I don't recall encountering your problem either. Btw, you could have enough margin in your account to maintain a position but not always enough to reopen it. Since a reversal order is essentially just closing one position and opening a new one...

    KOSPI 200 Futures - Traders

IB's margin requirements for futures are perfectly fine. But, for some reason, their margin requirements for options are simply ridiculus. For instance, IB's commission for the Nikkei options traded on OSE beats any Japanese broker hands down, but because IB require 2 to 3 times the span...
