Are there any LSE traders out there?

What's with this stock all of a sudden? great volume, great moves, no recent news that i can find. it's sweet to find a nasdaq stock like this among all the oversaturated large cap stocks such as msft or intc Anyone else trading this? (CHINA)

agreed, ESC trader..... limiting yourself in ANY capacity is a bad thing for a trader to do. I've seen NYSE traders get hammered on nasdaq, and vice versa... there are truly many ways to make money.

The NYSE is a much more efficient market place. If there are twice as many sellers as there are buyers, the specialist will move the quote down to accomadate the fair value of the stock based on supply and demand. It doesn't get much better. With nasdaq large caps, getting through even one...

Ahhhh.... very important to know... The Specialist NEVER EVER EVER sees direct plus orders... it is completely independant of the specialist. Most NYSE order handling firms (ABN AMRO, for example) will set u up so that an order that qualifies for direct+ goes there first, and if it can't...

Learninglisted, In response to your question about slippage...... There are several things you need to know about Direct plus.... the most important being that the specialist can shut it off if there are too many orders to take care of. If he posts his size 1X1, then it has been halted...

Breakouts only work because they're so popular.... when a moving averages cross, indicating a buy signal, then everyone buys.... and what happens when everyone buys? hmmm....... my tape reading would suggest that it's probably going up.

tape reading is the key to successful trading.... plain and simple. IMO, Technical analysis doesn't work long term
