    are props trading crude/nat gas?

Ebo - I currently work out of an office at the CME. I am mainly interested in a prop shop because the Nymex seat leases ($18k/month) are prohibitively expensive, so I am looking at alternative ways of trading crude/nat gas. anyone doing any trading of nat gas?

mahram; thanks for the info, but I currently trade my own funds, so I would be using the prop shop only for a desk setup and connectivity to the exchanges. I was just curious to see if any of the shops were trading on the Nymex. thanks again!

    are props trading crude/nat gas?

does anyone know if many prop shops in the US are trading crude? if so, is it mainly Brent on the IPE or are they trading Nymex mini contracts? The IPE volume looks liquid enough for trading (+100k/day) but how much of that volume is during US hours? and are people basically trading the IPE...

    Refco/Mac Futures typical deals?

regarding the contract issue, I have a theoretical question; if I sign a three yr contact with a Refco-type shop, but then leave after two years, do they in theory have a right to my earnings during year three? would this apply to me trading on my own with my own funds or only at another shop...

    is futures prop BS??

I am an indie futures trader and the research I have done re: prop is this; provided you have your own capital, most of these new arcade style firms charge just about the same fees as it would cost you to work out of your home with a T1 line and the same front end and other software. Hence, it...

Series 7 to trade my Own money?!

Most traders form LLCs, not S corps. Even if they trade their own funds, and act as the sole client. This is generally for liability protection, as the benefits of pension or health insurance do not apply.
