Best book to rewire me to follow my trading plan

Of course not. Nothing is 100%. BTW, I didn't mean that as a solicitation. I would never share my wife's name with anyone on this site. Too many whack jobs. It is probably against some ethics thing anyway. The point I was trying to make. Look it up and find a doctor that is licensed to do...

What do you consider a good yearly return? (In percent)

I'm actually surprised by the comments. Thought it would be much higher. In my IRAs, I re balance every 2 weeks (always in). I consider it pretty conservative. No leveraging. So, I'm not sure what category you would put it in. Personally, I see it as investing since I put very little...

Best book to rewire me to follow my trading plan

This is an old thread. But I haven't been on this board in a while... My wife is a psychologist. She can "re-wire" you using EMDR. Look it up if you've never heard of it. It won't fix your trading plan. But it can change *your* programming.

    John McAfee debates FBI

I love this (USA) country. But, the intelligence and agenda of some of those in charge really concerns me.

    Avoid Competing with HFTs

Usually, when people say "front run". What they usually mean, is that some institutional trader is so stupid, that they can't hide their intentions. They make it is so obvious that smart traders can pick it up and take advantage of their lack of micro market structure knowledge. Even IEX...

    Holy Grail HFT - Found

I don't know how you can say HFT is dead. First of all, what is HFT? No one seems to be able to agree on a definition. While some strategies that trade at high frequencies have certainly been squeezed out of existence (and sometimes whole firms), others continue to do well. I think the...

    Holy Grail HFT - Found

There really isn't a small scale of something like what Virtu is doing. As you decrease the amount of money in the trading account, the infrastructure budget, and the people behind those algorithms, you are left with something that won't perform anywhere close to what they are doing. There...

Don't Settle for Old Trading Platforms | Next-Generation TT is Here !! *Free for AMP Customers

The whole TT software suite is intriguing for me. But until they have some sort of back testing over saved data. It is a no-go for me. Hopefully this is something that will change.

How to Get Started with Tradelink

Like Multicharts or Ninja Trader. There are a few more out there with nearly the same capabilities. Tradelink (before Glean) was/is quite capable. But you are on your own if you need something fixed or have a question. There once was a mailing list, but I don't think that has even survived.

How to Get Started with Tradelink

Sorry, I haven't been keeping up with what is out there. I think you'll find limited options. You are probably better off finding a paid platform you can build on top of. Or if adventurous, build from scratch.

How to Get Started with Tradelink

That is because the open source somehow turned itself into commercial (Glean) software. The source still exists, but I cannot currently find the link. Pracplay is doing their best to remove any bit of evidence that it ever existed as open source in the first place. Sorry to say, you are...

    Rithmic R|Trader Sim?

I've never used this platform and I cannot seem to find anything on their website to answer this question... Do they offer the ability to do sim trading (not backtesting, I'm talking live data with a sim account)? And if so, does anyone have an opinion of how realistic it is on something...

The heroes of 'Flash Boys' are swinging back against critics

For a company that wants everyone to be transparent. There are some very opaque aspects of their order types. They seem to be falling down the same rabbit hole as the other exchanges.
