This is true. My system is a trend following system. I don't trade countertrend in Forex, you'll get your teeth kicked in. I would do some mean reversion stuff on equities and futures, but not on forex.

I agree. I have a price feed from 240 banks and it's always within a 1-2 pips of my broker. I don't use stops. No issues on my end.

I know Strategy Runner has a direct link to FXCM. SR will charge you I believe $65/mo. Also MCFX is coming out with automated execution with FXCM as well and that will cost $100/mo. Either way you'll most likely have to find a 3rd party software vendor that links up with your FX broker.

Everyone has access to hidden liquidity on index futures (i.e. ES). It's not like equities with there are many different markets. The index's are trading on 1 exchange (i.e. CME).

You can tape read ANYTHING that has Price and Volume. I attached a recent article from Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities that Mav posted in another thread it pertains to stocks but can be applied to any market with price and volume.
