I've have seen IB folks in several fora say that the Sockets API is preferred because Microsoft has told them that ActiveX events are not 100% reliable. If that's true the API probably needs to include some additional error/loss checking.

Sure lots of people do it. IB doesn't send all the ticks though (only about 25% on ES.) So that could color your data if you're watching smaller timeframes. Richard

Please ... the facility is IRC not mIRC. mIRC is the Windows-based program that connects to IRC servers. There are many other programs that do that too. Richard
