    SPX Credit Spread Trader

LOL ... I took off from trading for the last couple of months to focus on my Internet project so I have not visited ths thread for a long time (I used to mostly only read but hardly comment), and this is funny because it's like I never took the time off. I see that TS is still a target lol...

I believe he meant 800 as in strike price and not number of contracts.

Yes TOS's trade grid is only their version of level 2, and not the true level 2 which contains order depth. But for options, the trade grid is really adequate in my opinion.

TOS does have Level 2 options quote. On the trade screen, left click on the exchange symbol next to the particular option you are interested in and you will see price grid appear above.

    OptionVue vs ToS

FYI ... TOS commission is a lot less than that. Do some digging.

    OptionVue vs ToS

I find it funny how you can just set a set of criteria and backtrade to a conclusion that what works and what doesn't. How do you know if the IC is held till expiration every single time? How do you know when/how someone will enter it, or leg in? You can account for all these decisions from a...

NBA: Will the Heat repeat + Other Thoughts

How about dropping 34 and 14 on Shaq's 15 and 10 in a blowout win, in Miami. Is that that "quality" enough for you?

    CME December Iron Condors

Hope you haven't opened your IC at your original strike selection :D

    CME December Iron Condors

Yes, this bull still has steam. CME is still bullish this week buoyed by the upcoming NYMEX IPO. IF you still want to enter an IC, I would enter the call spread no earlier than Friday, then enter the put spread next week on a pull back/profit taking.

With the CPI coming out on Thursday, I would wait till then to enter positions; I usually leg in when CME had made a big move. ... but that is because I usually have directional bias.

    OCs Implied Volatility Trading Journal

Just FYI.... when you say front month, it is incorrect since that is the long legs of the calendarized spread. If you are long the Jan contracts and short Dec, then Jan will be the back month. Maybe you know that but I just want to clear that up for others should they don't know. Also...

    CFA - Is it Worthwhile?

If you desire to only work for others, then maybe it is worth it if you are still young (mid 20's). If you desire to run your own show, I would rather use the time to build your biz. Look around and you will see plenty of HF managers without CFA. Also, bear in mind that CFA is very watered...
