I would think any one with an account can get access. I have used it since 2007. I emailed their API team to get access. They required me to sign a NDA agreement and asked a few questions about how I would use it.

Ameritrade has an API also.

I don't want to forget my bad trades. I want to remember them so I can learn from them.

Doesn't everyone do this? That is why you either go long or short. I dont know if this is necessarily a mistake.
