Could be a cross. Since yur order is not displayed, it would allow a cross to go up through your price. :)

I doubt you saw this on the NYSE or AMEX since that is not how they execute odd-lots. You likely experienced this on an ECN. Odd lots are not required to be disseminated in the NNM market centers. Therefore they can fall outside the bid and ask and then get executed. Hope this helps...

Call your broker and get the status of your order at the time it went down. 1. Get an out or a fill. 2. Get the name of whom you spoke with and the time in case they have to play the recording later. :)

Thomas (TP) wasa visionary in the electronic trading environment and the markets are better off for him having been involved. I do not think his expertise goes much farther than that. His personality could use some work too... :)

It is possible that the order was Island itself. Island can see their own orders and if they got stuck with a trade error they may have had to trade out of it. In this case they may have stayed with your order. But that is just a possibility... not a fact. :)

Thanks Katesdp.... I still have not found an SMS that will give me futures quotes in the eMinis when they are open in the non-standard hours. This site works for $spx... :)

Anyone know of a good way to get the eMini quotes sent to my phone via SMS every hour (not a price triger). Also I would like to get the foreign exchanges closing prices when they close. Thanks for any tips... I have done the alerts in IB for price triggers, and it works well. :)
