The next Fed rate-hike plan. 03/22/2023

To elaborate, I agreed with the previous +25 hike, but the language Powell used immediately following the hike - which he tried to walk back - was not fitting to the situation, I believed (in Feb) additional rate hikes would have been needed. To touch on the collapse of the banks (SVB...

The next Fed rate-hike plan. 03/22/2023

+25bps due to the failure of 3 out of 4300+ US banks, otherwise I would have still said +25bps. No changes to rate hike, but different language.

So, what is the end game with this never-ending U.S. public debt?

You cannot call Vietnam a total defeat or defeat for that matter when speaking in this context. Vietnam, like all conflicts, showed the military power of the US, however, the issue in Vietnam became a political tool . Since WWII all conflicts the US has engaged in have become political...

So, what is the end game with this never-ending U.S. public debt?

It does not end well.... During the 2009 Russian appraoched China about flooding the market with US Treasuries, which would have had devistating results. China did not support this decision so the bills where never flooded the market . Either the above scenario happens in a future...

    This is beauty!

So, this is what I would have done, if I was to trade that. Sell once the red line once it is broken, which is the candle you are asking about, goal of green line and a stop of blue line. The risk/reward is not there for me to take this trade, but ultimately thats it

    What is an edge?

An edge is a line segment that joins two vertices. More on point to your question, in context, an edge is an advantage over the markets or other traders. It is what makes you a profitable trader. The difficult part is finding an edge, creating a plan and trading the plan (read your edge). An...

Time weighted vega vs inverse square root vega?

As far as utilizing or if you even should utilize the indicator or its "practical purpose" (if there is one) I cannot help you there, I have no experience in trading options this way. It's a fairly simple indicator, you could setup some back testing and run it against your previous trades...

Time weighted vega vs inverse square root vega?

OK, so I took a look at the description of the indicator, I am not quite sure but this is what I am thinking. It appears that IB is using the formula Vega/((x)^(1/2)), where x is the number of days left til expiration to spread the Vega over the number of days left to expiration, maybe in an...
