    ES Overlap

I wish you luck, because you need to be 85% accurate just to break even.... so you must win 17 of 20 trading days to be even, 18 of 20 to turn a dime in profit. Even if you succeed at 90%, you still only make 7 points total for the month, minus any commissions.

    kserra's emini trades

"Then again why should he do what everyone else does if the norm is that most fail? " Hmmmmm... if the norm is that most fail.. I'm thinking that not trading, much less STARTING trading, during a holiday week might just be a pretty good reason.

    kserra's emini trades

I'm sorry, but why would anyone want to start trading during Christmas week?... or New Years week... or any other holiday week for that matter. Volume is light to begin with, direction seems to be purely at a few "big" traders whims, and every "system" seems to fail miserably during these times...

The URGE to Make More $$$

Turn off your P/L column and trade the way you should. If you should be out, get out. If you should be in, get in! Profit results from doing the "right" thing, regardless of where you stand before, during or after a particular trade. One trade does not a trader make. I know a few traders that...

    kserra's emini trades

The only real difference in the december and march contract is that the december will track more closely and closer to the actual S&P. Just make sure your trading the same thing your charting! (if like me you use one system for charting and a different one to trade.)

    What's it worth?

An investment that generates over a million a year in profit is worth over a million x 3. That's pretty much the standard when assessing an investments value. Recover your investment in 3 years and then reap the profits. I'm fairly sure that no one would pay 3 million for any stock trading...

Longshot, if meaningless posts is all it takes to become an "elite member" of this board, (and it must be) it's a club I'm glad I'm not a member of. Then again, having a useful opinion or comment for your 8 posts per day could be really taxing on your brain. Better save them. As to 1 million...

PrivateIsland... I have it figured at right around a million for next year also... another reason to not sell it, but to keep trading it.

5 months was all the backtesting data I have stored, as several times the data cache has gotten corrupted and had to be deleted. I try to keep an up to date backup, but always seem to be behind when I need it. I'd like to get more ES tick data if anyone has it.

    What's it worth?

Thunderdog... with regards to drawdown, the maximum thus far has been a little under 700.00 per contract (9/2/03), which it overcame the very next week with a $1400 profit/ per contract. The system does exist and this post was more of a "Proud father" post than anything else. Over the last 3...

You are correct, there is no reason to sell it, nor would I. I was curious what others thought about the idea. Today it ran 8.2 points thanks to Greenspan. Time to move to a tax free state!

Well, I'd have to say, If you have nothing to say... you might as well post it under a new name {1}. Considering the useless drivel you posted under your "regular" name, I'm not suprised. Losers are losers and you are. 2412 and still counting. Last post to you, regardless.

Posts: 186 12-08-03 11:53 PM How about a little more information? Such as: How many trades on average does it generate per day? What is the ratio of winning trades to losing trades? How much is the average gain and the average loss? What determines the exit point? Is it...
