How do you know your real account isn't just a sim and your broker isnt just pocketing all your trades??

Maybe im missing something but why would a broker even bother to take out their clients stops?? Seems counter productive since they rely on clients commissions to make a profit. Wouldn't they want to have a client to make a profit? it would meet more commissions down the road for them

Does anyone have a pic of the Russell 2000 TFZ1 on a 5min chart for today? (10/14/11?) Im under the sneaking suspicion my broker is hunting stops! Does anyone ever experienced this from their futures broker? Ive heard of forex brokers doing these shady tricks but not futures brokers. :mad:

My error in the typing I do know its 10.00 not 12.50. I've been paper trading the CL on a demo account using a strategy and am doing quite alright. Im just not clear of the actual limitations with margin. How much in your account would you need to trade 1 contract?

Im just looking to trade 1 contract. I've only swing traded before so am looking for someone who can give an expert answer in this area please. thanks

Hi everyone, noob question here so please bare with me. If I trade 1 contract of CL ($1000) and each tick = $12.50 does that mean that it would have to move 80 ticks against me for me to be stopped out of my position?. Im assuming 12.50 x 80 =1000? Is this correct?

Hi newbie here. Is it possible to start a day trading account for $10k? I see most brokers wont let you day trade for under $25k account capital. If there is one, are there any recommendations?

That website looks a bit shady if you ask me
