I am a CPA, and have been deducting the home office for years (no audit). My stance is if you are entitled to it, may as well file for the deduction(s) as long as you are not bullshting. Every dollar counts!

Curious about this too. I've got some buddies into this, but haven't really heard any true success stories out there (more "damn, I'm in debt" ones). On a related side note, glad college and pro football season starting soon.

Yeah, you'll need to file a Schedule D. Your Broker should be able to provide you one, as well as any other tax documents (ie. Income from dividends etc) you may need. With the broker's documents it should be easy to appeal to the IRS.

Divx is a decent company, but we all know part of the boost is just because of cramer. Any idea where the top will be?

Not in best shape, but for around $25 its worth the risk to see if it rallies a bit.
