    Naturus

I traded with her for a few weeks in January 2009 and she was very good. If I could trade every day in a trading room, I'd go again with her. Good calls and disciplined, respectful and helpful. I changed jobs and trade very early now 6E on the CME so had to leave the room. Kind regards

What do you think about Obama's speech on the economy?

I think he did fairly well, even if he took too long to answer questions. He comes across as genuinely concerned and this is good. I didn't vote for him but it's refreshing to hear a good speaker. However, I'm not convinced it will really matter. This is a really big problem and I don't...

Software: Trading ES Mini S&Ps For a Living

Give Sierra Charts a try. I've been using if for 3 years... really nice and reasonable and can use data from several providers including OEC, Transact and IB. You can also review their forums... some of the best in the industry. Website http://www.sierrachart.com/ Forum...

    Best Choice Software www.bestchoice.com

Thanks for the info! This and the other sane skeptical posts are helpful. I've had to develop an ignore filter for many of the more angry and profane posters. :D Kind regards

    Should I go with Ninja?

Here is a very nice combination: 1) Sierra Charts for charting 2) Zeroline trader for the DOM. Bracket orders work great! 3) IB for trading and data. If you don't want their data, Sierra Charts offers their own real time and historical www.sierracharts.com www.zerolinetrader.com...

Yep, IB works great early morning. That's mostly what I trade... early morning 6E when Europe is up and going.. Some of the best consistent moves are 3:30-7am PST.

    New Symbol for ER2?

Well, TF is not looking so good. First: it is not included in IB's Futures bundle so have to subscribe (1$ - yes it's low but spent time figuring it out) Second: Volume is not correct Third: Low liquidity producing all kinds of price gaps. No more Russell for me. Will look at it again...

    CRB Index with IB

It does seem confusing: There is the traditional CCI also called CRB and include 17 commodities. Quoted from the Ice (NYBOT): "ICE Futures U.S. began trading the CRB in its index marketplace in 1986; the name of the index changed to the Reuters CRB Index in 2001." This is CIX8 on IB...

    eurodollar futures

I like to trade using IB (Interactive Brokers), using EUR (Euro FX) 6EU8 for Sept (6EZ8 for December) Just a few thoughts: Pros 1) Good liquidity, trades in .0001 ticks 2) can make money with small moves with multiplier of 125000 3) Trades most hours of the day on CME Globex so you...

    ES Automated Trading

Sierra charts now has automated trading and a chart DOM. I have not personally used automated trading capability but you can check out what they have and user comments. You do need to write your own code but it's all in relatively straightforward commands similar to excel. cheers

Please help a struggling Index trader

Yes, I agree, Ryan Watts is pretty good. He's a good guy and the system is straightforward and well documented.

What are you ER2 fellows doing...

Yes, this transition is already confusing. Just a few comments: 1) It took research and time to understand that ICE was on NYBOT. 2) IB still has a $1 charge for ICE and you must still sign up. I did today just to see what the steps were. No big deal but still had to work through it. 3)...
