Yep, IB works great early morning. That's mostly what I trade... early morning 6E when Europe is up and going.. Some of the best consistent moves are 3:30-7am PST.

It does seem confusing: There is the traditional CCI also called CRB and include 17 commodities. Quoted from the Ice (NYBOT): "ICE Futures U.S. began trading the CRB in its index marketplace in 1986; the name of the index changed to the Reuters CRB Index in 2001." This is CIX8 on IB...

CIX8 for November is what I pulled up. It is the continuous CRB index. Hopefully this help!

Sierra charts now has automated trading and a chart DOM. I have not personally used automated trading capability but you can check out what they have and user comments. You do need to write your own code but it's all in relatively straightforward commands similar to excel. cheers

Yes, this transition is already confusing. Just a few comments: 1) It took research and time to understand that ICE was on NYBOT. 2) IB still has a $1 charge for ICE and you must still sign up. I did today just to see what the steps were. No big deal but still had to work through it. 3)...
