Computer Science is a tangible skill.
A Degree in Star Trek history has no tangible work value.
Only rich people can afford to spend 100K on a degree on the history of Star Trek, with a Minor in Klingon language.
Only children of wealthy parents can afford the luxury of these degrees...
The problem is it becomes an echo chamber and after sitting in the same seat for decades they forget who elected them and only work for lobbyists and not the voters. Terrible way it is today.
I do not like the fact that once they get a seat, it becomes pretty much a perpetual seat in congress. And once lobbiests buy them out, they are guaranteed to stay.
Why not make it an 8 year max, just like the president?

It does not take a Rocket Scientist to figure out that a degree in "Woman's studies, or Videogame History" Is not going to land you a job that pays above McJob wages.
The problem is most people assume any college degree = high paying job.
So people go to college and chose the easiest major that requires a minimum of effort in order to maximize the fun times and frat time.
So John Doe Jr. goes to Full Sail,Duke etc.., borrows 100K to get a 4 year degree...
