    How do you figure this is free ? I bought it from Russell's site. If you wanted to gauge the mood of the market say, at the bottom in 1982, or at the dead highs in gold in 1980, or at any given point in financial history, this is a good resource.

    ETCs on the LSE

    Does anyone know what the tax treatment of the new Exchange Traded Commodities will be. They are zero coupon notes not futures so I am assuming they will be taxed as equity/bonds. Also, they trade in dollars so I am assuming any tax liability would be in USD to the British Government?

    Its the same concept as DBC, only now there are now 29 Funds so you can just buy Coffee, as an example, instead of a predesigned basket. Go to the London Stock Exchange site, there is plenty of info there. Actually, I'm kind of surprised more more people aren't talking about them?

    Interestingly, i think the London Stock Exchange is launching the ETC (exchange trade commodities) either today or very soon. That could also be another interesting way to play gas or anything other raw materials over the long term. Any thoughts?
