I guess I really under estimate the volatility of options. So I wrote a naked Jan 31 call for BA 340 few days ago when BA was really weak. Did not expect it bounced back so hard on 300 level. I thought even with earning, it won’t just come back to 340 in less than 2 weeks. Now it’s getting close...

You are right. Buying a put, and meanwhile, sell a covered call could help me get back the insurance fee. But I need to be really careful to write those things, though

I know I should not think about tax in the trading. I think my concern is mainly because the stock may continue to rise. I guess right now, the best option is to but the put, just for the safety wise, considering the risk of current market

The latest IB TWS (970.1b) has some CPU usage issue on my MAC. The stable version (963) works fine, but it does not have the indication (intraday VWAP) that I need. Does anyone have the standalone version (eg. 969)? IB customer service said they cannot provide previous version of TWS.
