say you live in the UK and trade in dollars , could you not just hedge with a GBP/USD long contract for the total value of your $ positions . lower spreads cheaper costs maybe ?

i've not read the entire thread , but unless your profitable in both up down and sideways markets its pointless becoming a trader. Trade as much as you can in your spare time , or get a job in finance, once your confident your trading can make some $$ then take the plunge .
