    Cannon Trading and Transact Futures

Take a look at the OEC Trader 3.5. No monthly cost and commissions are very fair based on your volume. Best part is that the platform is owned by the FCM (GAIN Capital, NYSE - GCAP) and not a 3rd party

    BUND Traders-Serious!!!

@increasenow. Well, 14 months later I've seen your question. Sorry about that. I trade only bunds and live in the US, and pay my tax to the US. Don't live in Germany, and though ive never thought about it, I'm pretty sure I'm paying taxes to the appropriate government.

    BUND Traders-Serious!!!

I've been trading Bunds since 1996 and think its a great contract to trade, the exchange fees are reasonalble, unlike all Globex products (roughly 3 times more expensive) and if converting to USD, its a nice conversion for the past few years. It is, however, a tough contract to trade for the...

    Trading Technologies Launches X_TRADER® 7.6

I completely agree that (if possible) you should use XP. That holds true for any thick client trading platform...Call Ninja, or SR...TradeStation. They will all tell you the same. That the preferred OS is XP, but their platforms will work on Vista. Interestingly, MS looks to be scraping...

    Trading Technologies Launches X_TRADER® 7.6

Yes TT_Trader and X_Trader will work on Vista (though not officially supported). There are a couple of little workarounds to get TT started up b/c of all the security features on Vista, but in the end it works just fine. Please feel free to contact me at Alaron for more information or...

ZenFire Data Feed IB / Ninja

I have found ZenFire to be ok, much better than PATS...but not as stable as TT in FAST market situations.

Velocity Vs. Global Futures, Vs. Etc.

On the X_trader side, I also believe they will be offering it (w/ the charting) for $250 or $300/month with 79 cent commissions, then laddered down after 2000 sides.

Velocity Vs. Global Futures, Vs. Etc.

Consider Alaron as well. I think in the next week they will be offering the retail version of TT with live quotes & charts for like $35/month and $1.99 per contract plus fees

    should i continue interviewing....

Accept the job, & set your start date for July 10 - 12, whatever works for you. Go on the interview, if you get the offer & its what you anticipate, resign the small company postion. This assumes you can put off signing a contract till after your interview. I do agree that bigger is NOT...

Prop Shops That Pay You To Trade?

Maverick, while I do agree with you on most of your points...i also think you are blindly unaware of the fact that there a good number of people that actually make a nice living trading futures...with that said, the number has been shrinking for the past 4 years & i believe it will continue to...

Prop Shops That Pay You To Trade?

when i say 20-30 cents per side i am referring to commissions...to buy & sell one german bund for example...20 cents/side for exchange fees plus 25 cents/side for commissions. so a total of roughly 1 US dollar to buy & sell one bund. that 25 cent rate will fall in 6 cent increments based on...

The Fall of Refco Trading Services

The only advantage to being W'd by your firm is that you can receive health benefits, which is nice for a rookie trader, that along w/ paying member rates for CME products. If you are not on your compnay's payroll as a prop trader you are not eligible for member rates, unless you have a CME...
