Few people talk about how boring trading can be

Title: "Overcoming boredom in trading" My profitable trades, are my boring trades. Seeing the wins are fun, but the trading itself is more or less boring (If I don't spend my time on other things). For me it has become pressing a button and waiting a couple weeks, rinse and repeat. Trading...

    50-60% win rate, 1:2 R/R

    Correction: 15% win rate difference.

    50-60% win rate, 1:2 R/R

Yes, I agree. I was just curious about the likelyhood of having 50%+ win rate, it seems like it's very unlikely. Esp, for a novice trader. And I'm not the person who is willing to keep taking trade after trade for months, knowing that the odds are against me. Esp if you also know that if you had...

    50-60% win rate, 1:2 R/R

Ok, thank you. Then the most reasonable thing is to save up and trade conservatively. As you essentially "lose" 15% win rate. Meaning if your win rate is 40% (with 50% risk) you will go in a loss over longterm. if that risk is 1% you will profit long term. (And this is excluding the...

    50-60% win rate, 1:2 R/R

Is this unrealistic, to have 50-60% win rate with a 1:2 R/R. Or is something like this very very rare? The reason I ask, is cause I looked into risking 50% an account with a sum of say 128$, something that isn't too emotionaly hard to lose. Then use a double system. So say you start with 128$...

My edge isn't what I thought it was

I agree, actively trading is the best way to gain experience. But often actively trading is just waiting..

My edge isn't what I thought it was

80 % or more of the market is automated, because of this. But an experienced trader can generally read a chart better than a robot imo. So combined with high EQ, he can be very profitable.

My edge isn't what I thought it was

Exactly, and it takes a high level of EQ. (Which is trainable). If you can't go to work without thinking constantly about your position. You're prob doing it wrong.

My edge isn't what I thought it was

I used to think my edge was my ability to do TA, and read charts. But the level of TA I'm doing, most people can do by watching a couple youtube videos. So how am I then profitable? It's the mental aspect. And I believe this to be true for all profitable traders. Why? My biggest obstacle in...

When to start trading real money

Stop projecting your own failure to everyone else and open your mind. Maybe you will realise that some traders DO make good money from trade systems and then perhaps you will learn to do it yourself. Profitable systems (with the right market) can have a HUGE edge over discretionary traders as it...
