I don't know what you mean about backtesting. What does tat mean?? makret makers and specailst don't back test. Specialist open market based on order flow....market makers just supply liquidity to anyone who wants it. Ecn's are eveybody...specailist, market makers, day traders, hedge...

No advantage in retirement acct. The advantage of a fund, like vanguard sp500 fund, there's no transaction fee. SPY etf there's usullay a transaction fee you pay your broker or online broker. I like SPY b/c you can liguidate any time during the day but personally i'm not trading...

i trade...follow the markets/stocks and IM friends and traders about the market and stocks. I work half days....7 to 7 five days a week. I folw earnign dates, surprises, expectation, guidance, news and anything else that will give me my edge.

depends if you just investing or trading. if you want to get out intraday you want spy but if you going long ...very long...years...then sp500 fund..

hey guys I'm non professional trader...lightspeed has high low ticker, rsi, fibonaccii...it's very user friendly. My favorite is premarket charting and high/low ticker(which is very progammable) I trade the events of the morning and day but usuall looking for gap fills or break outs...

retail / professional, i guess you have to ask lightspeed but just meet the legal guidelines for pattern day trader. Coloring orders, i don't know...

a lot of support level from 07/06-10/06...i wouldn't have taken a short trade due to that. i would have been waitng for an RSI oversold looking to get long to due the support levels. trading is not a science but an art form.....you need a gut feeling beyond all the indicators....

I not sure of the porgram behind pivots but i think simple math. i use them w/ fib's and there handy for picking target to enter and exit day trades

There are so many types of traders out there and so many ways to trade. I know news, monentum,swing, and day traders. you have to define what kind of the trader you want to be. I trade w/ these guys...leverage buying power 2x swing and 4x intraday. juggernauttrading.com

i have contacts that allow you to trade w/ a minimum but w/ leverage buying power up to 4x intraday and 2x overnight. Not hte most technial system but fast as hell!!!
