@destriero Just wondering if you trade flies regularly [and profitably]? I tried trading them for a couple months using IB, but I never got filled on their spread trader. Maybe I was not being forgiving enough on my bids and asks.

Update: Still grinding away. Caught a nice move in XBI and traded in and out of a few other equities. Might look at getting back into futures if I can expand capital base a little further. 127%

Yikes, that spread is getting pretty volatile. I was away from screen for a while and came back, it was completely crushed. I also sold my BBRY a few days ago, and kaboom Samsung takeover bid today. Hahahaha

So the driver behind this type of curve steepening is really dependent upon the relative scarcity of storage? How do you guys typically monitor the demand for storage? I've been long on the Jun/Dec calendar for WTI since $2.00, it dropped from $4.60 to $4.00 that one day. Closed it at $4.11...

I take it as more tankers continue to get booked up for storage, this will help put pressure on contango? But what will allow it to keep expanding beyond these levels?

Yeah. It was acting as a very good hedge for everything else that was kind of bogging me down haha. I just closed it at $4.11 after it started to sell extremely hard for some reason. If it looks like its just going to be a dip, I will re buy for more than I initially had.
