I understand discipline is very important.. I'm just adding that technical knowledge is also very important.. my trading have improved.. I've lost year after year cause I had no clue that I wasn't smart enough.. I guess I'll find out this year if I'm profitable..

This will be my last post.. I broke my rules again today and as much as I want to control my emotions, I just can't do it.. I believe lack of discipline is the main reason why a lot of traders fail. I gave it a try but I don't have the mental toughness like other profitable traders...

As for not sticking to your rules, you acknowledge you have difficulty there. Personally I don't like the idea of rules as it sounds inflexible, but you should have some form of trading process that you follow. The fact you admit to not following your rules indicates that you haven't developed...

I think trading is just too hard.. Not only do you need to be an expert technically, you also need to be expert mentally..

I know I sound like a crazy guy it is what it is.. I'm still trying to figure out how to not break my rules..

Day 8 Experiment Today was a short day for me cause I don't trade after the Fed announcement. 1. Missed 1 great setup - worked well.. I was pretty annoyed 2. Bought 2 mediocre setups - 1 failed and the other I made 10 cents.. I don't know why I still enter.. I can't help myself 3...

My rules are made specifically for the strategies I use so I don't think any man-on-the street will be interested.

I have a program that automatically sells my stock if my losses incur over 100 bucks so I can't trade with size..

Ammo, I do have very strict rules.. but I still break them.. and I am serious about trading.. You lose real money so I don't know anyone who wouldn't be serious.. I trade so I can make money and Im greedy too which is probably my problem but how do u solve that?

I know everyone is gonna say how stupid I am but I wanna be honest in this thread.. I took another mediocre setup 30 mins ago.. I don't know why.. Trading just drew me in..
