IRT is great tool. I got MP to work fine, even has multicolored letters now!!! I do things in IRT no other program can do! Backtestign is great to me. Don't even have to know any special complicated language like Ensign or Tradestation. There is now a users wish list with a few great ideas...

Hi Shawn, a few ways to get symbols into IRT. 1. can import a text file of the symbols list. maybe do 3 files and NYSE, ALL NASDAQ, ALL AMEX one idea. 2. can use quote sifter, but need live feed for that I believe. then I use dial data EOD to auto dl bulk quotes at night. works neat...

Investor/RT, can, and I do scan on entire market 10,000 symbols on a end of day basis (EOD). It does this very very well and fast especially on indexed fields. Like price I can scan Price>10 on the 10,000 and get result in a few seconds! Scaning entire market intraday is another issue...

I made some of Tonys scans in Investor/RT program I use. Buddy bought book and we scanned I thought on EOD data. Anyways Investor/RT can scan intraday also. It can backtest also. I can run a backtest on EOD data if anyone desires and share results. Just email me if needed. Mike____ :)
