A gentlemen I met here in Texas noted that the absence of income tax caused property taxes to be relatively higher than other states. It's good for some, but tougher on the retired folks. I never took the time to verify his theory, but it seemed to make some sense.

A few years ago I switched from Qcharts to Sierra Charts with IB data feed. I wish all my decisions had similar results :) Much cheaper, much better, particularly with respect to lag and reliability. I am surprised they are still in business. Good luck.

Lightning was causing me some problems which the ups seemed to help. My ups has a replaceable battery, but it is nearly the cost of a new ups.

I have a KVM switch also with only the keyboard and mouse connected. It can be operated via the keyboard also, which seems to work well for me.

I am not sure where to expand :) Backup to the secondary hard drive is fast and easy. The two machines are networked via a router, which also provides a hardware firewall. I view it as a must have.

I run two machines connected via a router. At least one has a second hard drive which works well for my back up requirements. Backups of really critical data can be kept offsite in case of fire or theft. Good luck.
