First NY securites training program is 18-24 months and is very through. Traders over their are not scalping for ticks etc.

First NY Securities is in a totally different league. It's tough to explain. Check out their website . Bascially First NY is much more global firm trading across multiple products . They are competing for talent with GS, JPM etc.

I am looking for a prop firm which allow traders to trade futures. I wanted to join Bright Trading but like most firms they only allow equity or ETF trading.

You only need couple of traders for discussion and make it a learning experience. I have been trading futures and have experience with them. I have never traded FX and therfore do not post. I do however read your post daily. Thx

Out of short 100.48 on failed A down. Long 100.67 off ORL on daily failed A down. Out some 101.14. Need to break 100.60 area with CONVICTION for more down moves today otherwise stuck in a box.

Had to manage the short.

Unless some major macro event is underway ( like Gulf war) CL trades within a tight range. Whether one looks at yearly, monthly,weekly or daily range. CL tendency to be range bound provides some nice set ups for reversion to the mean type of traders. Seems like most of the years on this chart...

out some 102.33. Added to long 101.64. Looks like CL will be in a box rest of the day.

New sanctions against Russia from Europen Block put a bid under CL. Not good for equities. I buy this more than a move based off some pattern. News is not confirmed but traders react first and ask questions later. Long 102.02.
