    That's an interesting post. Now whether economic concentration is due to currency union is not that clear. One can see economic concentration in most sectors with few companies establishing oligopoly as time goes by.

    Yep! I would think that 10% of the gold mania which happened over the last few years is the result of lobbying, providing fake arguments for the public which are repeated over and over in forums ... till everyone is convinced that these arguments are rights without questionning their basics...

    Agree. Also agree with china and india vast pool of labor. And so? Instead of making shoes, people will have spare time to make research, or work in the service industry. I don't see the problem.

    yes. During 60's 70's, china was not open to foreign trade so its labor costs did not count. Like most of africa today is still not open to foreign trade. Same here in europe. Before shoes where made in france, then with the opening of trade and the break down of customs, all production moved...
