Thanks guys. Newsware looks like a really interesting piece of software. I keep wondering how people manage to jump on the wagon of surprise rate cuts. Anybody ever manage to get long, our out of shorts before market surges?

What do you guys do for live news? I currently use Qcharts and IB for trading. Both don't offer news. Yes Qcharts has news, but it's a web page. Not very useful unless you are expecting the news, then it isn't really news is it. Anyways I'd appreciate some feedback on some tools out there...

Any update on this matter. I'm getting rather tired having to maintain my stops myself. It's also a lot less effective as I find myself getting out of trades too early not wanting to get caught in a fast move and not have a quick enough trigger finger.

Has RavenQuote integrated with eSignal yet? Once they do there will probably be a mass migration from Qcharts to RavenQuote.

Hi, Why not add an area of the site for software ratings. Just like people rate brokers, the same could be done for real time software packages. Maybe the section could be divided into sub-sections per type of software: charting, scanning, options etc... I know there is a software section...

For Naz stocks I guess the bid has to hit the stop or be below it twice for it to execute? Which basically means, if the stock is now trading below your stop the stop should get executed, right? Of course the inverse would apply for buy stop orders. One more thing, I hope that the stop becomes...

If I put a stop on IB through ISLD does it become a limit order at the current market price? ISLD doesn't have market orders. If this is the case, you risk not getting filled if the stock is moving fast.

A strange thing happened to me today on three different occasions. My stop loss was hit and never triggered. I left it hanging for about 5 seconds then cancelled the order and did the trade myself. These were all Stop Market orders and I was wondering if this has happened to people before...
