Yes, for starters, I would recommend reading something really basic like "Currency Trading For Dummies". You could also start watching people trade in chat rooms or youtube videos. Download a demo platform (they're free) and just start trading demo money.

Right, it is important that you try out the different indicators so you can choose the one that fits you the best, I usually use only 2 at the same time, and they usually are Bollingers Bands and William’s percent range. :D

Hello I’ve had a profit of $2500 at one time; my greenness now shows me a $1500 loss. Has anyone out there tried any of the automated systems? I have Forex Killer which is not automated, and still leaves much to the individual. How about Forex Tracer and Forex Raptor, any good?

I have been dealing with EUR/USD exclusively in these last few days, I’ve had bad experiences with the CHF and JPY, could it be because of the Christmas season?

I enjoyed Bird Watching in Lion Country by Dirk du Toit, I think is the best Forex book I’ve read, you can downloaded for free.

I use Bollinger bands too, in addition to an accelerator oscillator and sometimes, William’s percent range.

I’m no expert either, but since the JPY news we’re talking about is a new interest rate at which the BOJ rediscounts bills and extends loans to financial institutions, I don’t think it will have an effect on EURUSD.

Probably the worst time frame to trade at is MN (MONTHLY) I’ve never heard of a strategy for that. :confused:
