You could also try asking the smaller firm for time; e.g., say you value their offer but are are in the middle of the interview process -- and would they consider giving you one additional week to fully explore your options.
I've been successful in the CFA exams without anyone's notes, just studying the textbook readings and spending $100 on a practice test. You may need the notes if you don't have the time to devote though.
most likely your custodian bank experience can be massaged to meet the work experience requirements (see http://cfainstitute.org/cfaprogram/workexperience.html).
also, Level III exams are only held in June each year...not sure how you just passed.
Also - in order to trade your own funds in a retirement account (which I agree would be a tremendous benefit given the tax avoidance), I'm fairly certain you must do this in a retail account...right? Prop firms won't let you trade your own assets, let alone trade outside of one of their...
I trade with Assent LLC and they do not allow any corporate prop traders. An earlier poster said he had problems setting up an LLP with IB. Does anyone know what top brokerages will allow corporations to day trade with them?
