Pretty soon we'll be trading listed stocks with a Level II window just like we trade the Naz. Me thinks that if you rely on the "specialist system" to make a living, it's time to change your stripes.

It says on www.traderbulletin.com that INCA's volume dropped a lot in November. I'm wondering if that's because more traders are using SuperMontage now. Which do people find themselves using more these days, Instinet/Island or SuperMontage (via an ECN like TRAC or ARCA)?

If you're a standalone FA user get Hyperfeed. If you're using the thin version then Neovest provides the data (via S&P Comstock). Though I hear they're in the process of upgrading their feed, and considering direct exchange feeds.
They'll probably drop the standalone version very soon...
Why do you think TRAC will be phased out? Don't they have the best rebate in the biz? I don't know that much about them but I'm just curious because I like the idea of getting paid $5/1000 shares.....assuming they actually do pay.
