Speaking strictly of straight up stock trading, has the rule demanding that funds be tied up by the broker for 3 days while "settling" effectively killed equity daytrading in the USA? If not, then how do you guys and gals get around this barrier?

MBT-Steve, One minor caviat. Although the dedicated MB Trading software is showing my account info just fine now, the website account access is still coming up goose eggs for my account information. Does it update at different times than the dedicated software?

Wow, hard to believe! I wonder if this is typical of the "direct access" brokers in general, or unique to MB Trading? When do they come back on line? Do they stay online for account access after hours during the week, or are they shut down each evening as well?
