I guess prop trading in futures is not very popular. I had the same question and wanted to know if there are prop shops that'll back futures trading. I'm willing to put up some risk capital in the 50k-100k range. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have it but it's not that great. I'm not sure if it's the problem on the Scottrade's side or DJ news just doesn't cover a whole lot comparing to Reuters or Bloomberg. Thanks anyway, though.

I was looking to trade stocks only and IB offers $3.5/1000 unbundled for monthly volumes less than 300,000. I'm not instigating a fight here but can you and Longhorns be more specific as of what part of my previous post wasn't true? Can either firms be IB's deal for that kind of volume...

I called both firms and they all required you to trade millions of shares to get lower rates. Any other suggestions? BTW, both Genesis and Assent are day trading firms.

IB's unbunddled rates are pretty low for a retail firm. Does anyone know of any other firm(s) with even lower commissions. No day trading firms please.

Maybe a crazy idea but I don't want to have tons of charts open on my desktop. Just wondering if I could cycle thru a predefined list of ticker symbols with eSignal. Kinda like a slide show.

That's why I didn't want to use theirs. I have already been using eSignal for several years and I wanted to try their API. May be a stupid move though.

Thanks. That's what I was afraid of. I already have a 3rd party scanning software running on my desktop but it has so many features I don't need and does not have exactly what I need. I'll go ahead with the project for now though. Not sure how long I can bear with it. May have to abandon it...
