    when to take profit?

ok, have a good trip. My only reason for closing an individual trade is because it is a loser. And then I look for a better place to get back in, usually on the same side, but sometimes on the other side. Like I said, I never take a profit until the account takes out the old high. Then...

right, but it is similar in that you still need to decide when to get the account flat

    Tax Cuts and Revenue

I know it's not politically possible, but if you eliminated 20,000 pages of tax code by eliminating the corporate tax, and raised the personal income tax, including treating cap gains as ordinary income, you could eliminate a lot of lobbyists and crooked politicians. Corporate Tax Inversions Will Cost U.S. Billions and We'll All Pay

Kruschev figured this out years ago when too many East Berliners were moving to West Berlin. Just build a wall.

    Tax Cuts and Revenue

thanks for the reply. Unlike most discussions down here in the basement, this one hasn't yet descended into profane name calling. My point was a difference of opinion on what defines success. More revenue or less revenue.

    Tax Cuts and Revenue

piezoe, you crack me up. You define success as to how much revenue the government consumes. The rest of us define success as to how efficient and little of our money the government consumes.
